Ike - About PDF Print E-mail
Born July 21, 1962 in Houston, Texas. Ike continued in his father's footsteps with his acting career starting at the age of eight, appearing in the long running television series of the 1960/70's known as 'Gunsmoke'. His most active acting period was in the late 1970's early 80's with film's such as 'Escape to Witch Mountain' and short television series such as 'The Fantastic Journey'. He has also acted and provided voice overs for many other television adverts and films (see Chronology)

Ike studied at Milliken Jr. High School in Sherman Oaks, California, and further went on to study visual arts at Otis/Parsons - a commercial art school in Los Angeles. Embarking on a career in fine art Ike developed a signature 'photo-realistic' drawing style consisting of faces and figures; his artistic popularity has brought him to show his work in Northern California and Santa Monica.

Ike Eisenmann has always liked Science Fiction with his interest sparked by the genre of the 1970's "I believe that anything that truly stimulates young people and excites them keeps them on the right track. Science Fiction provided that for me." "Science Fiction provided me, as a child, with a wealth of imagination-stimulating material. It kept me wondering and thinking and wanting more. It was directly responsible for opening me up as an artist, giving me images of aliens and space craft"

Ike Eisenmann still has interests in Science and Science Fiction, asked at times if he believes in UFO's he responds "It's a hard call. But I would have to be pretty closed minded to believe that "we" are the only ones in this vast universe that we have just barely explored"

Ike met and married his wife Alex in 1993. Alex, a writer from Palm springs, California, has been working with her husband to co-write and produce a short film entitled 'Single Family Dwelling' which premiered on March 10, 1999

It seems that Ike likes Mexican and Italian often eating our with his brother Al and his friends, although he has a particular fetish for Pizzas.

"I would like to thank all my fans out there who have expressed such an overwhelming interest in my career. It has been one of the great joys of my life to have been part of so many wonderful movies and television projects. I hope that in some small way I can return that joy through my future work" - Ike Eisenmann April 14th 1999 - Read More
